Brussels calling: 12 points go to… Mye-DACI! On two very warm and sunny days, the Mye-DACI task force met again for some further intensive technical and biological brainstorming. Provided with an excellent working environment at the COST Association’s headquarters, a hybrid meeting with dedicated scientists from all over Europe took place – aiming towards the finishing line of eventual publication. Under the leadership of Sven Brandau, intense discussions and presentations of biological data of myeloid cells and technical workflows created meaningful future analysis pipelines for Mye-InfoBank COST Action’s goal to explore the composition of the immune microenvironment associated with cancer and chronic inflammatory disease. At the end, not only did the notebooks and laptops start smoking, but also the heads of everyone who had been contributing their particular field expertise during the two-day event. The meeting resulted in the formulation of a clear road-map that decisively moves the project from the technical data generation phase towards biological interpretation.
