Fondazione Ri.MED's social media press release:
"Wrapping up an inspiring COST Action meeting in Palermo!
March 21st marked the fourth and final day of the COST Action CA20117 Mye-InfoBank meeting, with working group sessions where brilliant minds came together to exchange ideas and spark scientific collaborations, focusing on "Converting molecular profiles of myeloid cells into biomarkers for inflammation and cancer".
This EU-funded initiative brings together researchers, bioinformaticians, and clinicians to identify novel markers of myeloid cells in diseases associated with chronic inflammation (DACI). With omics technologies generating massive datasets — many still untapped — our goal is to curate, integrate, and reuse this wealth of information to uncover new biomarkers, ultimately validating them through access to biobanks.
Exciting discussions, meaningful collaborations, and a shared vision for advancing research [in the fields of] biomarkers, inflammation, and cancer research."

The members of the Mye-InfoBank COST Action are deeply indebted to Chiara Cipollina, Claudia Coronnello and Nicolina Sciaraffa at Fondazione Ri.MED for hosting our successful final annual meeting in wonderful Palermo: Grazie infinite di tutto! We are also beholden to the COST Association for their financial support of this multi-day event and indeed of all our Action's other activities since October 2021.
