Young researchers from Francesca Finotello's group at the University of Innsbruck joined forces with the bioinformaticians Florent Petitprez (Edinburgh) and Markus List at the Technical University of Munich for a week-long tri-lateral STSM to work together on establishing a computational pipeline for myeloid-focused single-cell atlas curation. Although the disease focus was on inflammatory bowel disease and breast cancer, the vast majority of the tools developed by the collaborative group are expected to be able to be readily applied to virtually any disease type that Mye-InfoBank scientists are researching, and therefore should be useful to the members of the other WG 1 disease subgroups as well.
