Young Researcher Spotlight #2
by SciComm
Jan Aleksander Kraśko
Jan Aleksander Kraśko studied at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (PL) and Ghent University (BE), culminating in a Master Engineering degree in Biotechnology. He moved to Lithuania for his graduate studies, researching anti-cancer vaccinations in murine metastatic and non-metastatic cancer models, and defended his PhD in Biomedicine in 2017 at the Center for Innovative Medicine, Vilnius.
Currently, Jan is a senior scientist in the Laboratory of Immunology at the National Cancer Institute, Vilnius, Lithuania. He also works as certifying person for a private company manufacturing GMP-grade cellular therapies, and teaches at VilniusTech Technical University (cellular technologies and GMP quality systems). His interests lie in the application of cellular immunotherapy in cancer patients. That, and fantasy miniature painting.
This is Jan’s first COST Action, and he was immediately thrown into the deep end: he is the Mye-Dialogue working group leader (with the generous assistance of a few experienced colleagues).
